We are successfully celebrating our 78th independence day. At this day, we must also take time to review our journey of technological advancement and innovation, which started in 1947.
At 1947, India was a country with limited resources and an economy that was just starting to develop.
78 years down the road, ours is a nation that is a global powerhouse with immense potential for many sectors— construction, infrastructure, data centers, tourism, and manufacturing, among others.
These advances by our nations aren’t just new milestones achieved; they are just stepping stones in our larger goal of “Vikasit Bharat”—a completely developed India by the year 2047.
The Rise of India’s Construction Sector
India’s construction industry shows the nation’s growth and resilience. The industry is worth $639 billion. It’s expected to become the world’s third-largest construction market by 2025, reaching $1.4 trillion.
The industry here has rapidly expanded, with an annual growth rate of 7-8%. This has put India in the position of 4th largest construction market globally, only behind the US, China, and Japan.
Note that construction isn’t just a sector; it plays a crucial role in building a strong Indian economy. It has, over the years, contributed significantly to the GDP, after agriculture. Our government is also strongly focusing on infrastructure development to further the growth of our Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives.
Besides, one can also find the government’s commitment towards construction in its schemes of PM Gati Shakti and the UDAN scheme, which have fueled the nation’s growth as well.
PM Gati Shakti scheme aims to integrate different types of transport modes for a smooth connectivity across India, which further will aid in developing construction. Furthermore, the UDAN scheme will make air connectivity more available to the masses, which will further help the country capitalize on its construction.
Modernizing Construction: A Shift Toward Sustainability
Even though traditional construction methods played an important role in India’s development, they can no longer sustain growth in modern competition. Not to mention, these methods are now causing significant environmental concerns.
Traditional construction methods often lead to problems like using too much water, creating dust pollution, releasing greenhouse gases, and leaving a large carbon footprint.
To address these issues, the construction industry is changing its approach. It is moving towards more eco-friendly methods like pre-engineered buildings (PEB) and prefabricated construction.
EPACK Prefab has been at the forefront of this transformation.
Ever since we started, we have made it our mission to promote environmentally friendly construction methods. This helps protect the environment and saves energy. We’re working hard to completely eliminate our carbon emissions by 2070. This goal matches the government’s plan for a clean and prosperous India by 2047.
We’re using recycled materials, saving water, and reducing dust to help build a greener future for our country.
Empowering Local Economies: The Role of EPACK Prefab
EPACK Prefab is more than just a PEB construction company; we are a catalyst for change in India’s journey towards VikasitBharat. Our mantra, “Building India, Built in India,” reflects our unwavering dedication to nation-building.
We work all over the country, from the snowy mountains of Kashmir to the sunny beaches of Kanyakumari, and from the deserts of Kutch to the hills of Kohima. We even work in the most difficult places to reach.
Our projects do more than just build things. They also help local economies by creating jobs and giving people the skills they need.
One of the most important things we’re working on is building new factories and improving roads, bridges, and other important parts of the country. India has already made great progress building highways all over the country.
Now, the network has expanded by 60%. From 91,287 km in 2014, it has progressed to 1,46,145 km in 2023. There’s more—the average pace of making highways has more than doubled. This shows the government’s dedication to improving the country’s infrastructure.
As a leading PEB structure provider, we’ve helped with this progress using our innovative and sustainable construction solutions. These are quicker, more efficient, and better for the environment.
Engines of Growth: India’s Manufacturing and MSME Sectors
India’s manufacturing sector is a powerhouse, with the potential to hit USD 1 trillion by 2025-26. India is becoming a global manufacturing hub, and this sector will play a big part, adding over USD 500 billion each year to the world economy by 2030.
The MSME sector, crucial to India’s economy, is expected to grow to USD 1 trillion by 2028, thanks to more investment and growing businesses.
EPACK Prefab’s role in supporting these sectors is crucial. We build top-notch facilities using the latest technology. This helps us make great products at good prices.
Our products keep up with the changing needs of our customers. We also buy from local businesses. This helps the economy and makes sure everyone benefits from India’s growth.
Data Centers are Important for India’s Digital Future
India’s data center industry is another area witnessing rapid growth. With the rising adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) and increasing demand for digital services, the industry is set to expand significantly.
By 2026, data center capacity is projected to increase by 791 megawatts, requiring an additional 10 million square feet of real estate space and attracting investments worth $5.7 billion.
EPACK Prefab is a leader in providing modern construction solutions for data centers during this digital age. Our focus on sustainable building methods makes sure these facilities are energy-efficient, helping reduce their carbon footprint and promote a greener planet.
Building a stronger, more prosperous India
So, as we look at the future, we can see our success when the construction industry is well integrated with our other sectors to achieve the Vikasit Bharat goal by 2047.
EPACK Prefab is proud to be a part of this journey with its futuristic and sustainable construction solutions, which will directly contribute to the nation’s growth. We will keep working towards sustainable construction and helping local economies grow.
We support India’s journey towards progress. This Independence Day, let’s celebrate all we’ve accomplished as a nation.
Together we can commit to building a stronger and prosperous India – Built in India, Building India.
We’ll lay the foundation of a brighter future where every Indian can thrive and contribute to the progress of the nation—HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!
